Stack our blagged code with existing 2for1 offer

You can get two pairs of glasses from £14 delivered when you use our MSE Blagged code MSEMAY26 on top of an existing Glasses Direct* 2for1 offer by 11.59pm on Thursday 14 May. The code also gets free delivery and 50% off silver, gold, and platinum lens packages, as well as dark and gradient tints.

This is the cheapest offer we see from Glasses Direct, and it's the first time this year it's happened (the last time was November 2025). Here's how to get the offer...

1. Go for Glasses Direct's existing 2for1 on prescription glasses offer. It has a range of 2for1 frames priced from £49*, where you get the cheapest free.

Once you pick your frames (Premium Designer frames are excluded) and select what you’ll use them for (reading, distance vision and so on), you'll be asked to choose your lens package. If you want the absolute cheapest price, you can avoid these extras by clicking on ‘continue with basic lenses’ – it's a small link underneath the main packages.

However, if you want add-ons such as scratch resistance, anti-UV or thinner lenses, our code also gets 50% off Glasses Direct’s silver, gold, and platinum packages.

2. Use our code to get £35 off AND free delivery. After adding your second pair of glasses to your basket, you can enter your prescription then and there, or opt to send it later.

Then use the code MSEMAY26 at the checkout by 11.59pm on Thursday 14 May to get an extra £35 off ANY glasses where the frames cost £49+ (before 2for1 discount), and free delivery (normally £4.95).

Combining these offers can get you two pairs of glasses from just £14 delivered. What's more, the second pair doesn't have to be the same prescription as the first, so you could get one for yourself and one for someone else.

This deal won't work on very strong prescriptions, and you'll need to make sure you choose the right lens package for your prescription – see 'More info' below.

Glasses Direct says the majority of orders are sent out within seven days, though during busy times this may be as much as 14 days.

See our Cheap Glasses page for other glasses deals.

Lens packages

  • Basic, Bronze, and Silver: Ideal for weak prescriptions with an SPH between -2.5 and +2.

  • Gold: Ideal for medium or weak prescriptions with an SPH between -4.25 and -2.75, or between +2.25 and +4.

  • Platinum: Ideal for strong or medium prescriptions with an SPH between -6 and -4.5, or between +4.25 and +6

Lens options

Single vision lenses are free with all orders. Other lenses and packages are available at an additional cost, for example, bifocals cost an extra £39, and varifocals are an extra £49.

Exclusions

Basic lenses are not available for customers with a high prescription or when choosing Kodak varifocal or blue-light lenses.

This offer won't work if you spend £49 or more on several cheaper frames (such as three frames costing £18 each) – it is only valid on the 2for1 frames from £49.

Orders for very strong prescriptions are excluded, such as where the combined SPH and CYL is greater than +/-8.00, the CYL is over +/-4.00, there is more than a 5.00D difference between each eye, or prism correction is over 4.00 in any direction.

High prescriptions

For optimal quality, you may be advised to upgrade to thinner lenses if your combined prescription power per eye is around +2.00 or -3.00. Additionally, if you opt for larger frames and have a high prescription, a thinner lens upgrade may be recommended.

Other need-to-knows

  • In some cases (depending on your prescription and order type), Glasses Direct may contact you to ask for a photo of your eyes to ensure the lenses are fitted correctly.

  • If you copy and paste the code, ensure there are no spaces at either end. If you have difficulty, try clearing your cookies and starting again.

  • Glasses Direct offers a free home trial where you can try up to four frames for free before committing. You have seven days to try them, then return them using the included pre-paid postage label.

Plus free delivery, via code

If you go online to glasses retailer Glasses Direct*, you can get 33% off when you enter the blagged code MSE33 at the checkout, until 11.59pm on Tuesday 30 June. Delivery's free with the code.

The code gets you 33% off your basket which includes all lens types, including varifocal and bifocal lenses, sunglasses tints, blue light reflecting lenses, thin lens, plus the bronze, silver, gold and platinum lens coating packages. The code is also valid on most frames, but it does exclude £9 frames and the Premium Designer range.

What's more, if you choose a pair of glasses in its 2for1 from £49 range, you'll get a second pair of frames for free (excluding Premium Designer). These don't have to be the same lens type or prescription either, so you could choose the basic lenses for a totally free pair, or choose different lens types and get 33% off those, too.

Once you've chosen your frames and lenses, you can enter your prescription then, or opt to send it later. This offer won't work alongside any other discount codes or on items already marked down or on sale.

Your order should be shipped within seven working days, but during busy times it may take up to 14 days to arrive.

See our Cheap Glasses page for other glasses deals.

More info

Glasses Direct say the majority of single vision orders are shipped within seven days from order date, though during busy times this may extend up to 14 days. However if your prescription is more complex or you've chosen extras, it could take longer.

Glasses Direct also has a free home trial so you can try up to four frames at home for free before committing to ordering your preferred style. You have seven days to try them — when you’re done, return using a pre-paid postage label.

Plus free second pair and free delivery via blagged code

If you go online to glasses retailer Glasses Direct*, you can get a pair of varifocal lens glasses from £49. Simply enter the blagged code MSEVARIFOCAL at the checkout by 11.59pm on Tuesday 30 June.

The code gets you free 'Varifocal Advanced' lenses (normally £49) when you choose a pair of frames priced at £49 or above.

What's more, if you choose a pair of glasses in its 2for1 range, you'll get a second pair with basic lenses free (excluding Boutique). You'll only get the free varifocals on one pair.

1. Find frames costing £49 or more. Glasses Direct has a range of frames priced from £49, and you can choose any (including Boutique frames) then click 'Select lenses'.

2. Choose 'Varifocal Advanced' lenses. You'll be given a list of five different lens options. Select 'Varifocal' and then 'Varifocal Advanced' (it says these cost £49, but once you've entered the code at checkout, this will be taken off). See 'more info' below for other lens options.

Select 'clear' for transparent everyday glasses. If you don't want any extras, such as scratch-resistant coatings, you can avoid the extra costs by clicking on 'continue with basic lenses'.

2. Code gets £49 off, free second pair & free delivery. Once you've selected your lenses, you can either enter your prescription or opt to send it later. Then use the code MSEVARIFOCAL at the checkout by 11.59pm on Tuesday 30 June to get £49 off the varifocal lenses, a free second pair.

If you don't need varifocals, see our Cheap Glasses page for other glasses deals.

More info

TWO branded specs from £25*

Stack MSE Blagged code with existing offer for spec-tacular deal

If you're on the look-out for branded glasses, you can get two from £25 if you use our MSE Blagged code MSEFEB26 on top of an existing Glasses Direct* offer by 11.59pm on Thursday 5 March. The code also gets free delivery and 50% off silver, gold, or platinum lens packages, dark tints and gradient tints.

Here's what to do:

1. Go for the Glasses Direct existing 2for1 on designer frames offer. It has a range of 2for1 frames priced from £69, where you get the cheapest free.

Once you pick your frames and select what you’ll use them for, you'll be asked to choose your lens package. If you want the absolute cheapest price, you can avoid these extras by selecting ‘continue with basic lenses’ which is a small link in the text below the main offers.

However, if add-ons such as scratch resistance, anti-UV and thinner lenses are important to you, our code also gets you 50% off the silver, gold and platinum packages.

2. Use our code to get £44 off AND free delivery. After adding your second pair of glasses to your basket, you can either enter your prescription then and there or opt to send it later.

Then use the code MSEFEB26 (if it's not already applied) at the checkout by 11.59pm on Thursday 5 March to get an extra £44 off ANY glasses where the frames cost £69+, and free delivery (normally £4.95).

Combining these offers can get you two pairs of glasses from just £25 delivered. What's more, the second pair doesn't have to be the same prescription as the first, so you could get one for yourself and one for someone else. Do note though, this deal won't work on very strong prescriptions – see 'More info' below.

The glasses can be from different brands as long as they're in the same price category, so you can get two pairs of specs from the £69 range with different brands (such as one pair of specs from Scout and another pair of specs from Aspire).

On Monday 23 February we saw:

  • Two pairs for £25 (£69 each before the code) – Aspire Luna, Janet, Scout

  • Two pairs for £35 (£79 each before the code) – Hart Jagger and Jeremy

  • Two pairs for £45 (£89 each before the code) – London Retro, Kensington

  • Two pairs for £65 (£109 each before the code) – New Balance

  • Two pairs for £91 (£135 each before the code) – Finelight

If you don't need two pairs of specs, Glasses Direct is also running a different deal of up to 40% off your order (frames and all lenses), plus free delivery when you spend £30 or more when you enter the code: 40FD at the checkout. For some frames marked as 'Premium Designer' and any lenses added to them, the discount is limited to 20%, these include: Burberry, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio Armani, Jimmy Choo, Oakley, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ralph, Ray-Ban, Swarovski, Tiffany and Vogue.

Check out our cheap glasses page for other glasses deals. It can also be worth checking if you qualify for free glasses using NHS vouchers.

More info

Single vision lenses are free with all orders. Other lenses and lens packages can be added at an additional cost. Boutique frames are excluded.

If you copy and paste the code, make sure there are no spaces either side of it as this can prevent it from working. If you're still having difficulty, try clearing your cookies and starting again.

If you need bifocal lenses you'll have to pay an extra £39, and it's an extra £49 for varifocals.

This deal won't work on very strong prescriptions. For stronger prescriptions you may need to have your lens thinned, and as a result some lens options may not be available after entering your prescription, due to optician recommendations

Orders for very strong prescriptions are excluded, such as when the combined SPH and CYL is greater than +/-8.00, when the CYL is over +/-4.00, if there is more than a 5.00D difference between each eye or if the prism correction is over 4.00 in any direction.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
