For Octopus Energy customers with a smart meter only

If you're a member of Octoplus Rewards, you can claim one free drink each week, in-store from either Caffè Nero or Greggs.

How to get it

Octoplus Rewards is free to join for Octopus Energy customers with a smart meter. If you're eligible, you can sign up via its website or app.

Every morning, Octopus releases free hot drink codes – we've seen online that they seem to get snapped up by around 7am, so you'll need to set your alarm. You have to use your code in the same week you claim it on your account. Codes expire every Sunday at 11.59pm.

You can only redeem one drink per week, either from Caffè Nero or Greggs.

When you arrive at either Caffè Nero (find your nearest) or Greggs (find your nearest), select 'reveal offer' in the Octoplus tab of the Octopus app. When you're ready to pay, select 'activate offer' and show the staff member your QR code.

Caffè Nero lets you choose selected hot or cold drinks, whereas the Greggs freebie must be a 'regular' size hot drink. For exclusions, see more info below.

Warning: When you click 'activate offer' you'll only have a limited time to redeem it, so make sure staff at the till are ready before you activate it.

Available in all UK Caffè Nero outlets.
Products covered by this offer are any size: Latte, Cappuccino, Americano, Flat White, Espresso, Cortado, Standard Hot Chocolate, Mocha, Espresso, Macchiato, Iced latte, Iced Americano, Iced Cappuccino, Iced Pistachio Latte and Iced Cherry Latte. All plant-based dairy alternatives are included as well as syrups.
Can't be used on ‘speciality’, 'seasonal', ‘luxury’ or limited-time drinks.
This free drink does not entitle you to a Caffè Nero loyalty stamp.

Greggs

Available in all Greggs stores except airports or MOTO service stations.
The unique code is only valid on regular hot drinks: Americano, White Coffee, Cappuccino, Latte, Speciality Latte (vanilla), Mocha, Flat White, Espresso, English Breakfast Tea, or Speciality Tea (Green or Peppermint), Hot Chocolate, and speciality or seasonal hot drinks. Alternative milks are also included where available.

'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
