MSE Blagged special offer deals

Below are the latest MSE exclusive deals arranged by the MSE Deals team – we call them MSE Blagged deals. We include these and more of the best deals we've spotted in the weekly MSE Money Tips email.

5 current deals

MSE Blagged

Normally £33. Includes razor & cartridge, shave gel, post-shave balm & fragrance

Go via our special Grüum link* and you can get a four-item men's shave bundle for £4.95 (just the cost of delivery). Grüum doesn't usually sell these products as a set, but it would cost £33 if you were to buy each product separately. We found similar bundles on its website from £30, so we reckon this is a decent deal.

There are 15,000 sets available, and the deal will end once they've all been claimed (it's limited to one per customer).

Grüum refers to this as a 'Father's Day set', and if you do want to order this as a gift for Dad, the cut off date for Father's Day delivery is 2pm on Wednesday 17 June – though of course, the deal may end sooner than that if all sets are sold.

The set includes:

  • Face razor and one cartridge – normally £5

  • Clear shave gel (50ml) – normally £7

  • Tonka & sandalwood fragrance (9ml) – normally £12

  • Post-shave balm (35g) – normally £9

Grüum often has upsells and various other offers displayed throughout its checkout process, so if you don't want to pay for any extra items, make sure to select 'No thanks, I'll skip this one'.

What is Grüum? It's an online beauty and grooming business. When we checked on Monday 8 June, Grüum had a 4.6 out of 5 Trustpilot score based on 6,800+ reviews.

What if I have questions about my order?  You can contact customer service by searching for your issue on Grüumum's Help page.

Valid on ground coffee, beans, pods & more

Here's a way to save a latte on your coffee... We've brewed up a deal that gets 30% off online at coffee company Grind* when you enter the MSE Blagged code MSEJUNE30 at checkout by 11.59pm on Monday 15 June.

This is the strongest site-wide Grind code we see, and it only does it a few times a year. It'll work on everything except for coffee/gift subscriptions, gift cards, the Grind Two pod machine, and the Sage x Grind machine.

Delivery's £3.95, or free if you're spending £25 or more.

What is Grind? It's an independent coffee company, which launched in 2011. Grind says it's environmentally conscious, and all of its packaging is recyclable. Grind is stocked in stores such as Waitrose, Tesco, Ocado, and Amazon. When we checked on Tuesday 9 June it had a 4.1/5 score at Trustpilot, from over 12,800 reviews.

Download and read offline via app. For new & returning Readly subscribers

Readly* is to magazines what Spotify is to music. It gives unlimited access to 6,000+ magazines and newspapers including some big names such as Hello!, Good Housekeeping, Women's Health, BBC Gardeners' World, Vogue, Good Food, Men's Health, Daily Express and The Guardian (see more of what's included below).

You can download and read magazines and newspapers anywhere offline via its tablet/phone app – perfect for long train journeys or flights.

Plus, if you decide to continue, this deal will get you a reduced price of £11.04 a month for 12 months instead of £12.99 a month.

This offer is available to anyone who hasn't had a Readly subscription in the last six months.

Important: After 100 days, you'll be charged £11.04 per month for 12 months (£12.99 thereafter), unless you cancel (you aren't locked in and can do this at any time). If you decide not to keep it, you won't be charged as long as you cancel before the end of your 100 days – you can do this online at Readly*.

It's compatible with iPads, iPhones, Android smartphones and tablets, Kindles, Windows and Apple Mac. One Readly subscription can be shared across up to five devices, so if you do decide to continue with a paid subscription, you could split it with a friend, or share with others in your household.

Plus 50% off your third & fourth boxes

Organic online grocer Abel & Cole* is offering 60% off your first two fruit and/or veg boxes when you enter the MSE Blagged code ACMSEMAY at checkout by 11.59pm on Tuesday 30 June. The offer's for new customers, or those who've not placed an order within the last six weeks.

If you decide to continue with the subscription, you'll also get 50% off your third and fourth boxes, with a free 500ml olive oil in your second box.

Each order within the offer must be delivered within four weeks of the previous one, or the promotion will expire.

The boxes range in size, price and variety, but the cheapest is an Extra Small Fruit & Veg box*, which works out at £9.30 delivered after the code (£5.80 for the box, plus delivery).

Delivery costs £3.50 and to keep driving to a minimum, Abel & Cole only delivers to areas on a certain day of the week. It covers England and some parts of Wales and the South West – use its postcode checker to see if and when it delivers to your area. You can't change your delivery day or choose a time slot, but you can give an option for a 'safe place' for your box to be left.

Abel & Cole normally has a £12 minimum order fee, prior to any discounts, but this doesn't apply to any of the boxes included in our deal.

Important: You'll be automatically enrolled into a weekly subscription, but you're able to skip or cancel at any time. If you do decide to continue, the code also gets 50% off your third and fourth boxes. If you want to cancel a box, you'll need to do it at least two days before your next delivery is due – so if your next box is due on a Friday, you'll need to cancel by 11.59pm on the Wednesday before.

Here are a few more examples of boxes you could get*, and how much your first box would cost when using our code, including delivery:

The Everyday Essentials Veg box* contains eight types of vegetables – so with the code it works out at about 88p per portion of veg.

Abel & Cole sells a range of products (including recipe boxes, meat & fish, and bakery boxes, as well as general grocery items), but our code only works on the 'Fruit & Veg' boxes.

Check out more ways to save on food & drink.

MSE Olivia says:

The example box mentioned above works out at 88p per portion of veg with our code. Obviously, this isn't the cheapest way to buy veg, as you could pick up a bag of carrots for about 70p at most supermarkets. However, the cost of organic carrots at supermarkets is about £1.30 a bag.

This deal could be good for you if you're happy to pay a little extra for the convenience of having fresh, organic food delivered, but also want to shop in a more sustainable and eco-friendly way.

When we checked on Tuesday 5 May, Abel & Cole had an 'Excellent' 4.6 out of 5 rating at Trustpilot from 14,700+ reviews.

Via MSE Blagged code

If you've been eye-ing up Ted Baker prescription specs or sunnies, you can get a pair for £37 delivered (normally £135), with the MSE Blagged code MSE37TB via our link at SpeckyFourEyes*. The code's valid until 11.59pm on Tuesday 30 June.

The code is only valid on selected Ted Baker items found via our link, and you'll need to enter it in the vouchers box on the 'Shopping cart - summary' page once you've chosen your frames and lenses.

Need-to-knows for getting the cheapest price

  • To get them cheapest, pick 'continue with free lenses' when asked to choose your lens package (stage five of the checkout process), as thinner or scratch-resistant lenses will cost £15-£150 extra. To avoid other extras and keep costs down, select 'skip step & continue' until you reach the checkout.

  • You can either enter your prescription during the checkout process, or opt to send it later. Some frames aren't suitable for high prescriptions, so keep an eye out when choosing. Do note that only standard lenses are included in the price – you'll pay extra for bifocal or thin lenses.

  • Select 'Royal Mail Standard' delivery – our code will make this option free (normally £6.99). Delivery takes 7-20 working days.

You can use the code more than once but can only use one code per item, per transaction – so you'll need to make multiple transactions if you want more than one.

SpeckyFourEyes says there are good stock levels available, but all frames are subject to availability, so they could still sell out fast if demand is high.

If you need to contact SpeckyFourEyes about your order, you can do so via this special contact page.

MSE Georgia-May says:

It's tricky to compare prices for these exact frames, as many of them are end-of-line and aren't sold elsewhere – but I reckon £37 all-in for a pair of branded prescription specs or sunglasses is pretty decent. They're normally £135 at SpeckyFourEyes, and when I checked on Tuesday 26 May, I found some for up to £190 at Boots.

SpeckyFourEyes may not always be cheapest, so do your own price comparison before buying. See our Cheap Glasses page for other deals on specs.

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
