One in five people with debt problems have had their credit card limit increased without requesting it, new research from Citizens Advice has found – a higher proportion than for cardholders overall.

More than 75,000 MBNA customers will stop earning cashback and rewards via their Amex credit cards next month, and will be sent a replacement Visa card which won't offer any such perks. If you're affected, here's what to do.

Lloyds Banking Group has this week completed its £1.9 billion takeover of credit card firm MBNA, but customers of both will see "no changes whatsoever", according to the banking giant.

Almost 500,000 Barclaycard customers will see their Amex card stopped this summer and replaced with a new Visa card offering only half as much cashback. If you're one of them, you may be able to earn much more by switching to another cashback card.

The Law Commission has included an overhaul of the rules around Section 75 credit card protection in a shortlist of proposed legal reforms, to address a little-known exemption which has left some shoppers £1,000s out of pocket if something goes wrong, MoneySavingExpert.com can reveal.
